Clintonville was settled along the banks of the Pigeon River. It is the home of FWD Seagrave Fire Apparatus, the oldest continuous manufacturer of fire apparatus in the United States. The company started as the Four Wheel Drive or FWD, which produced America's first all-wheel drive chassis. Clintonville's airport was the birthplace of what is now know as Delta Air Lines. It is a quaint community with a beautifully landscaped Main Street. Population in 2010 was 4,559.
