Appleton was listed as one of the best places in America to live by Money Magazine's 2010 review. It is situated on the Fox River and is the county seat of Outagamie County. The paper industry has been at the forefront of the development of Appleton. Appleton is home to Lawrence University, Fox Valley Technical College, Globe University, and Rasmussen College. Population in 2010 was 72,623.
